BMW launches fully electric BMW iX at ₹1.16 crore in India

BMW iX intends to compete with luxury automaker's latest launches including Audi e-Tron, Mercedes-Benz EQC, and Porsche Taycan as the luxury electric car market in India witnessed a growth. The SUV will be available in two variants - xDrive 40 and xDrive 50.

German luxury car company BMW on Monday launched its first fully electric SUV BMW iX in India. The luxury sedan by BMW is priced at ₹1,15,90,000 exclusive of taxes and it will be available as a completely built-up unit (CBU). BMW iX intends to compete with luxury automaker's latest launches including Audi e-Tron, Mercedes-Benz EQC, and Porsche Taycan as the luxury electric car market in India witnessed a growth. The car's smart look comes with sleek styled LED headlamps with dual-beam appearances and smartly designed all-electric features. The SUV will be available in two variants - xDrive 40 and xDrive 50.

Key Points :


1. The luxury BMW Sedan comes with a five-star safety rating by Euro NCAP, a European voluntary car safety performance assessment program.

2. The stylish all-electric SUV iX has the capacity of accelerating to 0-100 kmph in 6.1 seconds.

3. BMW iX is available in body shades of Mineral White, Phytonic Blue, Black Sapphire, and Sophisto Grey. It is also expected to be optionally available in Aventurine Red metallic paint finish.

4. The car has features that include a console with touchpads instead of buttons, premium leather seat and upholstery materials, etc.

5. Interested buyers can book their cars online on BMW's official website and also through BMW dealerships across major metropolitan cities in India. The deliveries of the cars are expected to commence from April 2022.
