After Kota & Bikaner, Rajasthan government clamps section 144 in Ajmer

Officials informed that section 144 has been clamped in view of festivals like Ram Navami falling on April 10 and Mahavir Jayanti being celebrated on April 14. Both the festivals witness grand processions in Ajmer. Recently, communal violence was reported in Karauli when stones were pelted on a procession taken out to celebrate the Hindu New Year. Many shops and vehicles were gutted during the violence.

The minimum temperature recorded on Thursday was 19.4 degrees Celsius which will increase above 20 in the coming days, as per the IMD. Russia accuses US of increasing military biological capability globally

Washington is creating biological laboratories in different countries and connecting them to a unified system, said Igor Kirillov, chief of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defence Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, Xinhua news agency reported. Health Ministry denies detection of XE variant in India

The clarification came shortly after reports, citing the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), claimed that a female costumes designer of South African origin has been found to be infected with the new XE variant in the city. The FastQ files in respect of the sample, which is being said to be the XE variant, were analysed in detail by genomic experts of INSACOG .
