Widow of Alexei Navalny, Yulia Navalnaya, Alleges Putin's Involvement in Murder, Vows to Persist in Advocacy Efforts

In a nine-minute video released on Monday, Navalnaya, 47, declared, "Three days ago, Vladimir Putin ended the life of my spouse Alexei Navalny, the father of my children, depriving me of the most cherished individual in my life. He was my closest companion and the one I loved most."

According to a media report, Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny, who fell ill after a stroll, has pointed fingers at Russian President Vladimir Putin for her husband's demise. She vowed to persevere with his endeavors.

In a nine-minute video released on Monday, Navalnaya, 47, declared, "Three days ago, Vladimir Putin ended the life of my spouse Alexei Navalny, the father of my children, depriving me of the most cherished individual in my life. He was my closest companion and the one I loved most."

During an interview, Navalnaya, an economist who paused her career to raise her children, remarked, "When you're not involved in politics but witness the gravest injustices against your family, it inevitably propels you towards activism."

She asserted that the utmost tribute "we can offer Alexei and ourselves is to intensify our struggle with even greater determination than before."

Navalnaya further alleged that authorities have concealed her husband's remains. According to Navalny's spokesperson Kira Yarmysh, officials informed Navalny's mother that the body would not be released to the family for two weeks due to ongoing chemical examinations, as reported by the BBC.

Navalny, who had been Putin's most vocal opponent for more than a decade, was officially declared deceased by the opposition on Saturday.

Previously, Western leaders, including US President Joe Biden, held Putin responsible for Navalny's demise, prompting Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov to denounce these accusations as "arrogant" and "unacceptable."
