A Republican candidate running for the Texas 31st Congressional District seat has torched a reproduction of the Holy Quran and vowed to rid the state of Islam.
In a social media clip, Valentina Gomez stated she was on a mission to "end Islam in Texas." She instructed Muslims to leave, saying, "Muslims can f*** off to any of the 57 Muslim nations."
In the campaign-style video, Gomez blamed the Muslim community of terrorizing Christian nations by violence and called on viewers to back her in achieving her goal.
"Muslims are raping and killing on their way to taking over CHRISTIAN nations," she posted in a now-deleted message on X, calling on others to "help me get to Congress so you never have to bow down to their stupid rock."
Gomez started the video by stating, "Your daughters will be raped and your sons beheaded, unless we stop Islam once and for all," before burning the Quran. She ended the video with, "powered by Jesus Christ."
She later justified her actions, declaring she had no regrets over burning the Quran and assigning blame for the October 7 attacks in Israel to the holy book. "I stand by my actions & I will never bow a knee to the book that is accountable for the massacre of October 7th, killed 13 U.S service members at Abbey Gate, & calls for our assassination," she posted on X.
"Since you care so much about the Muslims, why don't you just open the borders & let the Muslims occupy Israel?" she continued.
During another Fox26 Houston interview, Gomez stated that not one Muslim had criticized the rape of little girls in Europe by fellow Muslims. "Because that's what the Quran is all about, raping & putting fear in the hearts of the disbelievers," she stated.
"Jesus did rise from the dead, can't say that about Muhamed," she posted.
There are about 1 percent Muslims in Texas.
Gomez's actions were condemned by Richard Grenell, the US President Donald Trump's special envoy for special missions, who alleged she was "undermining" the First Amendment.
"Stop diluting the very First Amendment to the Constitution our forefathers had created. Freedom of religion is guaranteed in the US Constitution. You don't know our freedoms quite well," he added, TRT Global reported.
