Sheikha Mahra Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum, the daughter of Dubai ruler and UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is now betrothed to rapper French Montana. The engagement was formally announced in June at Paris Fashion Week, a source for Montana told TMZ.
The 40-year-old rapper and the 31-year-old royal have been connected since the latter part of 2024, when Sheikha Mahra took Montana on a tour of Dubai and posted pictures of their encounters on social media. They have since frequently been spotted together in Dubai and Morocco, indulging in fine dining, mosques visits, and walking on Paris's Pont des Arts bridge.
The couple’s relationship became public earlier this year, marked by appearances hand-in-hand at fashion events in Paris.
This relationship follows Sheikha Mahra’s brief marriage to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum. Married in May 2023, the couple share a daughter. Sheikha Mahra announced their divorce last year on Instagram, citing her ex-husband’s infidelity.
"Dear Husband," she typed then. "Since you are busy with other friends, I hereby announce our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Be well. Your ex-wife."
After her divorce, Sheikha Mahra introduced a perfume line called "Divorce" under her label Mahra M1. She is a graduate in International Relations from a UK university and also received a certification from the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Administration.
French Montana, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch, boasts international smashes such as Unforgettable and No Stylist. Outside of music, he also has a significant philanthropic role, focusing on healthcare and education programs in Uganda and throughout North Africa. Montana previously wed entrepreneur and fashion designer Nadeen Kharbouch from 2007 to 2014, and they have a 16-year-old son, Kruz Kharbouch.
