1. “We're currently set for release in the Apple App store for Monday Feb. 21,” Billy B., the chief product officer, answered on the app to individuals invited in the test-run as per Reuters report. He also said that it will not have the option to edit the “truths” but will definitely feature the “block personality in the app,”, as per the same report.

2. The social media is quite identical to twitter. The posts written by the handles will be known as “Truths” and retweets will be referred to as “rethruths”. Former US representative Devin Nunes will be the CEO of the platform. He has promised a safe, family friendly platform. "We want to be very family-friendly, we want this to be a very safe place, and we are focused on making sure any illegal content is not on the site," Nunes said in an interview with Fox Business last month.

3. Nunes said that the app will be rolled out this week. “This week we will begin to roll out on the Apple App Store. That's going to be awesome, because we're going to get so many more people that are going to be on the platform,” Nunes told Fox Business in the latest interview on Sunday. “Our goal is, I think we’re going to hit it, I think by the end of March we’re going to be fully operational at least within the United States,” he further disclosed.

4. Former US President Donald Trump announced last week that he will soon be returning to a new social media platform bankrolled by him. This was announced by his son Donald Trump Junior last Tuesday who posted a screenshot on twitter of his father’s first post on the new social media named Truth social, captioning “Time for some Truth!!!”

5. “Get ready! Your favorite president will see you soon,” Trump wrote on Truth social. Truth Social is wholly owned by Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG). The screenshot posted on Twitter by Trump Junior already has over 56,000 likes and made the former president a topic of discussion again. President Trump announced last year in October that he would be launching his own platform which would challenge the monopoly of the big tech (reference to Twitter and Facebook). it is currently listed on the App Store with an "expected" launch on 21st February, as per The Verge.

6. In January 2021 after the Capitol Hills riots, social media giants Twitter and Facebook had banned Trump from their platforms for his alleged role in inciting the clashes.
