The Ukrainian authorities are yet to receive any response regarding an invitation extended to former US President Donald Trump to visit Ukraine, as reported by the media on Sunday.
According to a statement from Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with a US media outlet, there has been no official communication from Trump or his team regarding the invitation. Kuleba emphasized the importance of receiving a response from Trump or his representatives, stating that Ukraine would consider any such response seriously.
Kuleba highlighted the significance of garnering support from American voters rather than solely relying on bipartisan political backing. He stressed that it is crucial for Ukraine to engage with American voters as politicians tend to align with the sentiments of their electorate.
The invitation for Trump to visit Kiev was extended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in January, following Trump's assurance to swiftly end the ongoing conflict if he were re-elected this year. However, there has been no confirmation from Trump's side regarding the visit as of now.
