Son of War Cabinet Member Among Two Israeli Soldiers Killed in Gaza: Tragic Incident Reported

In an official statement, the IDF disclosed that one of the soldiers who lost their life on Thursday was Master Sgt. (res.) Gal Meir Eisenkot (25) from the 551st Brigade's 699 battalion. Notably, he was the son of Gadi Eisenkot, a former Chief of the IDF and a current member of the Israel war cabinet.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Thursday the loss of two soldiers in the Gaza Strip amid the conflict with Hamas, bringing the total casualties from the ground offensive to 89.

The second soldier, Sgt. Major Jonathan David Deitch (34), serving in the 55th Brigade's 6623rd Reconnaissance Battalion, also succumbed on Thursday. According to the IDF, Eisenkot fell during combat in the northern Gaza Strip, while Jonathan lost his life in the southern Gaza Strip. Additionally, three other IDF soldiers sustained serious injuries in the clashes and were admitted to a military hospital.
