PTI Leads Polls: Set to Govern at Both National and Provincial Levels, Says Imran Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), led by Imran Khan, has declared itself the frontrunner in the recent polls conducted on Thursday, confidently asserting its forthcoming government at both the federal and provincial levels. Despite attempts to subvert the electoral process, PTI expressed gratitude towards the public for turning out in large numbers, showcasing a resolute will.

Acknowledging delays and disruptions, particularly in Karachi and various constituencies, PTI leaders praised the populace for reaffirming their trust in Imran Khan and his vision of "Haqeeqi Aazadi" (real freedom) through the ballot.

Expressing concerns over the abrupt deceleration in result announcements and reports of closure at returning officers' offices, PTI warned against any clandestine attempt to usurp the people's mandate, cautioning of dire consequences.

Out of 336 National Assembly seats, 266 were contested, with one seat postponed due to a fatal attack. Additionally, 60 seats were reserved for women and 10 for minorities, allocated based on proportional representation.

Taking a swipe at former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his PML-N party, PTI leaders criticized the purported "fugitive" status of Sharif, alleging his return to Pakistan under the 'London Plan' with state backing, yet facing defeat in both constituencies.

Emphasizing the importance of securing authenticated results, PTI urged its workers to ensure the proper documentation of Form 45 (Result of the Count) at polling stations and Form 47 (provincial results) from returning officers' offices.

Calling upon the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to expedite result dissemination and thwart any tampering attempts, PTI reiterated its intolerance towards electoral manipulation.

Confident in its emerging dominance at both federal and provincial levels, PTI envisaged forming governments seamlessly, thereby facilitating the release of its leader and his return to the prime ministerial post.
