At a joint press conference that had delegates from the navy and air force, Pakistan Army spokesman Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that the media engagement was to relay the results and activities under "Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos."

Lt Gen Chaudhry affirmed that "only one aircraft" had sustained "minor damage," but did not give any details about the model or kind of aircraft in question.

Speaking on media questions, he rejected claims that an Indian pilot had been taken into custody, referring to them as "fake social media reports."

He also claimed Pakistan's military action was "precise, proportionate and still remarkably restrained."
