Chinese Defence Ministry spokesperson Senior Colonel Wu Qian, while speaking at a media briefing on Thursday, said, "Currently, the Chinese and Indian militaries are applying the resolutions pertaining to the border regions in an all-round and effective way." In reply to a question on the situation of normalization in the eastern Ladakh region, he added, "We are willing to cooperate with the Indian side to jointly maintain peace and tranquility in the border regions."

In a press interaction, Trump placed Starmer on the defensive about the UK's ability to push back against Russia's aggression. "They need assistance. I will always stand by the British, alright? I will always support them, but they don't require assistance," Trump said.
