Afghanistan's Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mohammad Zahir Agbar said that Ghani should be arrested and the wealth of the Afghan nation be restored, Ozodi reported. Speaking at a news conference , Agbar called Ghani's escape a "betrayal of the state and the nation" and claimed that he had "taken $169 million with him". Agbar announced that Amrullah Saleh was legally the President of Afghanistan now.
Voices of support for Taliban emerge from several quarters in Pakistan

Interestingly the paper goes on to mention that "Muslims from Kashmir to Gaza are celebrating Taliban's victory by distributing sweets and greeting each other to express their happiness".

A team of researchers from the US and Canada projected forward the incidence of Covid-19 cases under a range of vaccine dosing regimes, vaccination rates, and assumptions related to immune responses. The models also allowed for the regions to be coupled either through case importation, or the evolution of a novel variant in one of the regions. The study is published in the journal Science.
