China set to woo Taliban, but fears of Uyghur backlash remain

Even as Beijing made it clear that it is willing to deepen friendly relations with the Taliban and would provide assistance in rebuilding the war-torn Afghanistan, worries have risen for Beijing too. A foreign policy watcher told India Narrative that China, which is grappling with the 'Uyghur problem' will be concerned as it would have to "perhaps deal with foreign terror outfits" in Afghanistan.
Taliban assure safety to Hindu, Sikhs in Kabul gurudwara

"Hindus and Sikhs are in panic in Afghanistan. They can't even contact the embassy. I request @DrSJaishankar ji that efforts should be made to bring back to India Hindu Sikh people who are taking shelter in Gurdwara Karte Parwan Sahib and staying in hotels near Embassy (sic)," Manjinder Singh Sirsa, President of the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC), said in a tweet on Tuesday.

Member of a radical party, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) pulled down Ranjit Singh's statue at the Lahore Fort. The statue had previously been vandalized by TLP workers on at least two different occasions in the past.

IAF plane evacuates 150 plus Indians from Kabul

The IAF plane arrived at Jamnagar around 11.30 a.m. after taking a long route flight from the Hamid Karzai Airport Kabul airport, avoiding the skies of Afghanistan and neighbouring Pakistan. The plane took off from Kabul at around 8 a.m. in the morning. These passengers include the employees of Indian Embassy and other working professionals in many projects in Afghanistan.

Pakistan takes Taliban on board over TTP issue

Rasheed was responding on Geo Pakistan to reports of the release of key TTP commanders from jails in Afghanistan, as the Taliban took over the country. Maulana Faqir Mohammad, the former deputy chief of the TTP, was also released as the Taliban after Kabul's fall on Sunday. "The outlawed TTP and Daesh (Islamic State) militants are present in the mountainous ranges of Nooristan and Nighar," he said.
Big campaign on to retain Afghan flag in new Emirate

According to media reports, there is a vast campaign on social media demanding the Afghanistan Islamic Emirate to maintain the Afghan flag while others suggest a joint flag of both. A number of women gathered in Kabul demanding a share in the upcoming government. The women asked power holders not to be forgotten in the upcoming regime. The women though did not name the Taliban directly.
