Global vaccination plan only way to stop pandemic: UN Chief

The Secretary General was speaking at a meeting at the UN headquarters in New York of Foreign Ministers of the Group of 77 (G77) and China, where he noted that the Covid-19 pandemic "continues to wreak havoc" on developed and developing countries alike. He added that the UN stands behind the vaccination strategy set out by the World Health Organization, with the goal of getting vaccines into the arms of 40 per cent of people in all countries by the end of 2021, and 70 per cent by the middle of 2022.

Questions over Pak President for using official position to advertise son's dental practice

The Pakistan president's son, Dr Awab Alvi, recently took to Twitter to announce that his family business, Alvi Dental, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bringing Smiles USA, Geo News reported. Alvi wrote that under the agreement the two companies will be opening up a chain of dental practices to bring affordable care to Pakistan. Social media in Pakistan is abuzz after the image of the MoU signing showed the president in attendance.

47 former members of the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) including military personnel, police, intelligence service members, and militia were either killed or reported as disappeared, the report revealed. These ANSF members had either surrendered themselves to the Taliban forces or were captured forcefully by the terrorist troops between August 15 and October 31, it added.
