The Israeli army's withdrawal from Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza marks a development in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The Israeli forces had raided the hospital for over a week, and during their withdrawal, they reportedly detonated facilities within the complex, including power generators, oxygen pumps, and radiology equipment.
The Israeli army stated that they destroyed an underground route of "terrorist" tunnels and tunnel shafts beneath the hospital, which they claim served as a Hamas hideout.
The hospital, which is currently non-operational due to severe shortages of power, water, and medical supplies, had approximately 250 patients and staff remaining at the time of the withdrawal.
This development occurred on the first day of a temporary humanitarian cease-fire between Hamas and Israel, expected to last for four days.
The situation in the region remains complex, with ongoing concerns about the impact on civilian populations and infrastructure.
