Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi has issued a stern warning to Iran, emphasizing that the country will face the consequences of its actions. Speaking in a video statement following his visit to the Nevatim air base in southern Israel, which sustained minor damages in an attack by Iran, Halevi affirmed that Israel is prepared to respond decisively to the recent ballistic missile and drone assault.
Highlighting Israel's capability to defend itself, Halevi emphasized that any attempt to launch missiles or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into Israeli territory will be met with a robust response. Iran's barrage of 350 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, drones, and rockets on Sunday morning was largely intercepted and neutralized by Israel's Iron Shield defense system, with 99 percent of the projectiles intercepted before reaching Israeli soil.
Praising the effectiveness of the Iron Shield, Halevi underscored the successful collaboration between the IDF and allied forces, including the United States Central Command, the British Armed Forces, and the French Armed Forces, in countering the Iranian attacks across multiple domains.
