IDF Reports Additional Casualties as Five Israeli Soldiers Lose Their Lives in Gaza

The fallen soldiers have been identified as Staff Sgt. Nir Rafael Kananian (20) from Beit Keshet, Staff Sgt. Birhanu Kassie (20) from Beit Shemesh, Master Sgt. (res.) Shay Termin (26) from Rosh Pina, Warrant Officer (res.) Alexander Shpits (41) from Karmiel, and Cpt. Oshri Moshe Butzhak (22) from Haifa.

In the latest update from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), five additional soldiers lost their lives in the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, bringing the total IDF casualties to 144 since the ground operation against Hamas began on October 27.

The tragic incidents occurred on Friday in southern Gaza, where Kananian, Kassie, Termin, and Shpits lost their lives. Cpt. Oshri Moshe Butzhak was killed on Saturday in the northern Gaza Strip. The IDF continues to face challenges in its efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
