Hasina Wins Gopalganj-3 Seat, Advises Party Leaders Against Victory Processions

Sheikh Hasina, the President of the Awami League and Prime Minister of Bangladesh, secured her victory in the Gopalganj-3 constituency during the national elections held on Sunday, according to preliminary reports.

She gathered an impressive 2,49,962 votes, while her closest contender, Sheikh Abul Kalam from the National People's Party (NPP), managed only 460 votes.

Formal confirmation of the results is pending from the election authorities.

Instructing party members, Sheikh Hasina has advised against organizing any victory processions following the announcement of the 12th general election results. Sayem Khan, the Deputy Office Secretary of the Awami League, conveyed Sheikh Hasina's directive to the media, urging party leaders, workers, and supporters to abstain from clashes with opposing candidates and their supporters.
