Covid-19 Update: Global cases reach 37.4 million

John Hopkins University has been compiling Covid-19 data from all over the world and according to the University, the tally of global cases stands at 29,006,003 currently.

•    The United States is the worst-hit country with the world's highest number of cases and deaths at 7,761,637 and 214,767, respectively.

•     India is in second place in terms of cases at 7,053,806, while the country's death toll soared to 108,334.

•     Brazil currently accounts for the second-highest number of fatalities at 150,488.

•     The virus that is responsible for Covid-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales.

•    A person can get infected by breathing in the virus if they are within close proximity of someone who has Covid-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose, or mouth.
