Elon Musk Refutes Claims of $45 Million Monthly Donation to Trump

Following another rumour that surfaced, asserting Musk's commitment to this amount for Trump's campaign and his collaboration with the MAGA movement, Musk responded with one phrase: "This is false."

For the umpteenth time, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has come out to clear the air: he is not shelling out $45 million a month to former President Donald Trump.

Following another rumour that surfaced, asserting Musk's commitment to this amount for Trump's campaign and his collaboration with the MAGA movement, Musk responded with one phrase: "This is false."

He said, “I have not pledged anything to anyone. I did create a PAC that is focused on supporting candidates who favour a meritocracy and personal freedom, but funding to date has been far below that level,” Musk shared his assertion on the X social media platform.

Musk has said to be very pro-Trump now for his presidency, following an assassination attempt on him recently.

The viral rumor also lambasted Musk for allegedly aggravating problems on Twitter by allowing hate speech and misinformation to flourish, and now using his fortune to try and sway democratic processes.

President Joe Biden took a veiled swipe at both Musk and Trump while recovering from Covid on Thursday, frustrated over "rich people like Elon Musk trying to buy this election."

Musk has frequently lashed out at Biden over immigration policy and even his age.
