Zelensky confirmed the grim toll, reporting the discovery of 10 fatalities and disclosing that another 20 individuals have sustained injuries in the assault on Chernihiv, located north of Kiev.
Providing further details, Mayor Oleksandr Lomako initially reported eight fatalities and 18 injuries, highlighting the severity of the situation.
