The ISPR stated that the article had misinterpreted a standard military gathering, giving it a spin as a top-level emergency meeting. The statement underlined that the report was not backed by credible sources or verifiable information, labelling its claims of an "impending coup" as utterly unfounded and misleading.

The Bangladesh Army went on to condemn the media house for spreading "sensationalist narratives" without doing the right due diligence or exercising journalistic ethics.

The ISPR also noted that this was not the first time the publication had spread false information regarding the Bangladesh Army. An earlier report had been circulated this month, which was immediately refuted in a rejoinder released on March 11.

Demanding responsible journalism, the army called upon media outlets to refrain from publishing unsubstantiated reports that could create unnecessary division and distrust between the people of both countries.
