Lionel Messi came off the bench after a two-month injury layoff and scored twice in a 3-1 home win for Inter Miami, which overcame a goal down to move past Philadelphia in Major League Soccer on Saturday.
Visitors took the lead in the second minute when Mikael Uhre cut inside his marker and thumped a long-range effort which flew into the back of the net off goalkeeper Drake Callender's gloves.
Messi equalised by running around a defender and sending a low shot with his weaker right foot into the far corner.
And then it became 1-0 to his side, side-footing in from 15 yards after Jordi Alba's cross from the left wing.
In the final quarter of an hour, Suarez sealed the result with a first-time strike from the edge of the 18-yard box after Messi's pass.
The win in Fort Lauderdale by Inter Miami, at Chase Stadium, drops them 10 points behind the current second-placed team Cincinnati in the standings for the MLS Eastern Conference.
Philadelphia are in 11th place in the 15-team conference, 32 points behind the Florida outfit.
