Lionel Messi is in the pipeline to return for Inter Miami this weekend after over two months out through injury.
The 37-year-old Argentina skipper hasn't featured since he sustained an injury to the ankle ligaments when playing for the Albiceleste in the 1-0 triumph over Colombia in the Copa America final back in July.
But he has resumed training and will surely be drafted in by Inter Miami for Saturday's home tie against Philadelphia, Xinhua reported.
" Si, he is fine," the Inter Miami manager Gerardo Martino said during his press conference on Friday.
"He trained yesterday and he's included in our plans for the game. After training today we will think about the strategy for him, but he is available."
He has 12 goals and 13 assists in 12 appearances in the MLS this season.
Martino was not bothered by Messi's match fitness, believing that his very presence there would make a big difference for the Floridians.
"Returning the world's best footballer back to our team that was already in a good run of form makes us all happy," Martino said.
