Mbappe Shines Despite PSG's 1-3 Defeat to Toulouse in Final Home Game

Kylian Mbappe bid farewell to the Parc De Princes on Sunday night amidst Paris Saint-Germain's 1-3 defeat at home against Toulouse. In the defeat, Mbappe scored early in the eighth minute to give PSG its opening lead, as that would be his last home game for the Parisian.

Reflecting on the loss, Ousmane Dembele expressed disappointment, stating, "This defeat spoils the party a bit. It’s always frustrating, even if you’re champion, to lose like that in front of your home crowd. We need to rethink things after a defeat and not lose like that at home, even if we are champion," during an interview with French TV channel Canal.

Although Mbappe's departure from PSG is imminent, he is set to feature in two upcoming away games against Nice and Metz in the league before the French Cup final clash against Olympique Lyon on May 26.

Praising Mbappe's contributions to the club, Dembele remarked, "He gave so much to the club, he did so much. We’re happy with everything he’s done, he’s grown up well at PSG, he’s achieved so much, he’s a PSG legend. We’re proud of him."

Reports suggest that the 25-year-old has already made the decision to join Real Madrid, with an official announcement anticipated before the Euros, scheduled to commence in Germany from July 14.

Real Madrid is gearing up for a significant announcement regarding the acquisition of Mbappe, likely to be made following the Champions League final clash against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium on June 1 (June 2 as per IST).
