The breakthrough arrived in the 24th minute when Martin Odegaard found the back of the net, capitalizing on a well-crafted move involving Emile Smith Rowe and Kai Havertz. Odegaard's precise finish into the bottom-left corner put Arsenal in the driver's seat.
Just before halftime, Arsenal's advantage was further bolstered by an own goal from Daiki Hashioka, who inadvertently diverted Smith Rowe's cross into his own net amidst the chaos in the box.
