UP bans Moharram processions but allows 'Tazia'
The Yogi Adityanath administration issued an order on Saturday, asking district authorities to not allow any religious processions to be taken out during Moharram."Owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, no permission should be granted to take out any processions/'Tazias'," the order said. The order also directed officials to talk to religious leaders to ensure strict compliance of the order.
UP under Yogi Adityanath attaches 'gangster property' worth Rs 1,848 cr
As many as 139 criminals were killed in police-criminal gunfight between March 20, 2017, to June 20, 2021. Under provisions of the Gangster Act, property procured from crime proceeds can be attached by the police. UP Covid recovery rate goes up to 99%

UP, TN defence corridors get Rs 3,342 cr investment so far: Govt
In a written reply to Biju Janata Dal Rajya Sabha member Sujeet Kumar, Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt said the investments of Rs 20,000 crore are planned in both defence corridors by 2024. "The progress is reviewed regularly at apex level," he said, adding that so far, investment of approximately Rs 3,342 crore have been made in both the corridors by public as well private sector companies.
RT-PCR report mandatory for those coming to UP
The report should not be more than four days old. People who have been administered both the doses of vaccine will be exempted from the condition. According to the government spokesman, the rule will not only be applicable to people coming by air, rail and road but also to those using private vehicles.
