Both announcements occurred on Saturday, coinciding with the second anniversary of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

On the occasion of the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the US State Department issued a statement reaffirming its commitment to defending the sovereignty and democracy of nations. The statement highlighted the formation of a coalition comprising 50 countries, including all NATO members and the G7, in solidarity with Ukraine. This coalition aims to counter the actions of Putin's Russia and hold it accountable for its transgressions.

In addition to these measures, the US also unveiled 100 sanctions aimed at entities accused of providing clandestine support to the Russian military apparatus, spanning countries such as China, the UAE, and Liechtenstein.

The remarks, delivered by External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, came in response to reports of Indians employed in support roles within the Russian military operations in the conflict zones.

The announcement came via the defense ministry's Telegram channel, stating that the Center group, under the command of Lieutenant General Andrey Mordvichev, successfully captured Avdiivka.

Leading the Ukrainian negotiating group, Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, facilitated the discussions, as per European Pravda.

Russia claimed the flight was on a route from Chkalovsky to Belgorod for the exchange of Ukrainian military personnel. However, Ukraine insisted the plane was carrying missiles for the S-300 air defense system.

"We are working very intensively to restore air traffic in Ukraine... We will definitely do our utmost to implement this," stated Shurma. He emphasized the fundamental importance of air traffic to Ukraine's business and investment activities.

Zelenskyy emphasized Ukraine's determination to stand against Russia, even in the absence of support.

During his special address at the WEF Annual Meeting 2024, Zelenskyy, who also held discussions with several world leaders, expressed the pressing need for an end to the war and the restoration of just peace in Ukraine.
