Central agencies are 'dacoits', why not shut them down: Uddhav Thackeray
"What are these central agencies? They are just like dacoits. They behave like the 'pet animals' of the Centre. They take 'contracts' (supari) to go and target whoever they are told to. People are now wondering why these federal probe agencies should not be shut down," an irate Uddhav Thackeray asked.
Shiv Sena plea to ECI: Ban & probe BJP's 'illegal, unethical Rozgar Melas'
The Sena (UBT) National Spokesperson Kishore Tiwari has filed a petition with the ECI, seeking for an urgent ban and a probe into the entire "planted" Rozgar Melas which he said are "illegal and unethical as they violate the All India Services (Conduct) Rules and other regulations". The petition contends that the Rozgar Melas were grant events organised for sheer political gains by the BJP at the Centre and contrary to all he civil services, army rules, BJP banks and other public sector undertakings which took part in the jamboree organised simultaneously all over India, sponsored by government funds.

Thackeray had himself campaigned for Bhujbal - who won hands down, becoming the sole party MLA in the 7th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly then. "The 'Flaming Torch' was chosen because it was a symbol of revolution, showing a new path to the people of the state... I became the only candidate to win the polls that time and Balasaheb was very pleased about it," Bhujbal told media persons.

In an interim order on Saturday, the poll panel said that neither of the two groups led by Eknath Shinde and other led by Uddhav Thackeray be permitted to use the name of the party "Shiv Sena" and neither of the two groups shall also be permitted to use the symbol "Bow & Arrow", reserved for "Shiv Sena".
Uddhav's response sought to CM Shinde group's claim on poll symbol
In the letter issued on Friday, the Commission said that it received an application from the (incumbent Maharashtra Chief Minister) Eknath Shinde faction on October 4 to allot the symbol of the party 'Bow and Arrow' to the group led by Shinde in view of ongoing bye-election from 166-Andheri East Assembly Constituency.

"But this year, the Ravana is different, with 50 mouths... We have a dhokhasur' (traitor), khokhasur', (slang for crores of rupees), a katappa'... Your ministerial posts may go away, but the blot of traitor' will remain permanently on your faces, it can never be erased," Thackeray said, targetting Shinde, who had rebelled to topple the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in June.
