Rashmi, currently the Editor of 'Saamana Group' of publications, will travel to Nashik to boost up the party cadres and prevent the continuous 'leakage' of party supporters, witnessed in the city Sena (UBT) since the past few months, after the split in June 2022. Reputed to be a woman with a firm independent mind, she has always remained in the shadows to manage the Thackeray household for the past over two decades.

Thackeray, along with party MP Sanjay Raut, had rushed to meet Pawar after his remarks to a private TV channel that sparked off huge speculation of fissures in the MVA and its possible repercussions. Among other things, Pawar had claimed to the TV channel that Thackeray did not consult the MVA allies before quitting as the Chief Minister in June 2022, that set political tongues wagging.

After Pawar's comments to a private Marathi TV channel, Shiv Sena (UBT) President Thackeray and MP Sanjay Raut rushed to meet the NCP chief at the latter's home late on Tuesday night. What transpired in the 75-minute long meeting is still not clear, though the NCP promptly released photos of Pawar, MP Supriya Sule, Thackeray and Raut, all looking cheerful and relaxed.

This will be a second visit by a Maharashtra CM to the upcoming Ram Temple - in March 2020, then Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had prayed there and now present Shinde will perform an 'aarti' there. Shinde will be accompanied by his party Ministers, MLAs, MPs and other leaders on their maiden trip to Ayodhya.

Almost a year after the famous 'Hanuman Chalisa' row which saw Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana cooling their heels in jail, the woman MP on Thursday hit back. Posters of the actress-turned-politician Navneet Rana proclaiming her as a 'Hindu Sherni' were seen near Thackeray's home 'Matoshri' in Bandra.

Sources in the Shiv Sena (UBT) indicated that the party is upset over the remark, which has come to haunt the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition.

Simultaneously, Sena (UBT) MP and Chief Spokesperson Sanjay Raut also announced his plan to meet Gandhi on the same issue and sort out the matter, even as the ruling Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party alliance took jibes at Thackeray. The developments came a day after Thackeray publicly appealed to the Congress leader.

Addressing a huge rally in Malegaon, Thackeray said that whenever the Opposition leaders criticise the BJP government, they are termed as "anti-national" and cases are slapped against them. However, the BJP leaders keep abusing the Opposition leaders, slap all kinds of cases against them, interrogate even their pregnant women.

Addressing a massive Gudi Padwa rally at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park here, he said that "we cannot have a government that keeps glancing at the court for its survival", and hence the state assembly polls should be conducted "right now". Returning to his popular rally style of "Laav re te video" (Play that video), Raj Thackeray.

Rajinikanth, in a simple shirt and jeans, was accorded a warm welcome by Shiv Sena-UBT President and ex-Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, his wife Rashmi and their sons Aditya and Tejas. Later, Aditya - an ex-Minister - tweeted a picture of the family greeting the legendary actor, draping a shawl around his shoulder.
