Talking to IANS in an interview, Shaina NC said, "A large number of MPs, MLAs, and party workers are willing to join Shinde Ji. Although Uddhav Thackeray ought to have dealt with his workers, he went down a different path. There's nothing left in UBT."
Regarding the unfortunate stampede at New Delhi Railway Station, Shaina NC commented on it with remorse, calling it a "tragedy" and "accident."
She said, "Whether it's the Railway Minister or anyone else, if they don't do their job, you can ask for everything, but this was a tragic incident, an accident. There is no scope for political remarks here. There should be an inquiry to know what happened and how we can avoid such incidents in the future."
In another turn of events, the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, has withdrawn a $21 million grant, initially paid for by US taxpayers under the tenure of former President Joe Biden. The grant was to be used to impact "voter turnout in India."
The Shiv Sena leader demanded a thorough probe into the origin of this funding.
Shaina NC emphasized the importance of an investigation into who might be behind the funding, who might be trying to destabilize India. She highlighted the importance of maintaining a strong and complete democratic system in the country.
“I think it is crucial to uncover who is behind this funding and those attempting to destabilise India through it. We demand a thorough investigation to know who received this $21 million and why it was distributed during President Biden's tenure. The money trail should be investigated thoroughly. The Trump administration had suspended it, but as a powerful democracy, India certainly deserves an enquiry into this matter,” she said.
Over the weekend, the DOGE, headed by Elon Musk, reported that it had ended a $21 million funding initiative for growing the Indian voters' numbers.
It was among a more extensive cutback of foreign assistance, which covered several programs in India, Bangladesh, and Mozambique.
