ED raids places linked to Mukhtar Ansari, his brother and aides

The raids were being held in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. The ED was taking the help of paramilitary force personnel. Paramilitary personnel have been deployed outside the house of Afzal Ansari in Delhi's Ghazipur. As of now the ED has not given any official statement in this respect. Further details awaited.
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut gets 14 days' judicial remand

PMLA Court Special Judge M.G. Deshpande granted Raut judicial remand after the ED informed that it did not require his additional custody for the probe into the Rs 1,034-crore scam. On July 31, the ED had raided Raut's residence in Bhandup, detained him and arrested him in the wee hours of August 1 in connection with the alleged money-laundering case emanating from the redevelopment project of the Patra Chawl, Goregaon, by Guru Ashish Construction Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of the HDIL.
ED to grill first woman in Patra Chawl money laundering case

Varsha Raut was issued summons on Thursday after her husband was sent to ED custody till August 8 in the same case by a Special PMLA Court. During her interrogation on Saturday, Varsha Raut is likely to be confronted with her husband by the ED which had informed the Special Court that it wants to verify certain bank transactions and other related issues pertaining to the allegedly murky deals. Varsha Raut will be the first woman under the ED scanner to face the investigators in the Patra Chawl case which had erupted in 2018, while another woman whose name figures in the case turned a witness.
Mumbai court extends Sanjay Raut's ED custody till August 8

Raut, who was arrested in the wee hours of Monday in an alleged money-laundering case, was remanded to ED custody till August 4 and produced before a Special PMLA Court this afternoon. The ED sought an extended custody for Raut till August 10 as it had secured certain documents and wanted to probe related matters, besides investigating other accused in the case.
ED seals Young Indian office in National Herald building

The ED sources said that they had asked Kharge to provide an official of YI so that they could go on with the search proceedings. But after hearing this Kharge left the National Herald office and didn't provide them with any official. "We wanted to make the seizure memo in front of that official of YI. As we weren't provided anyone we had to seal it to keep the proofs intact," the source said.
Sanjay Raut sent to ED custody till August 4

Special PMLA Court Special Judge M. G. Deshpande pronounced the order as Raut was produced by the ED after he was arrested here early this morning. While the ED's Special Public Prosecutor Hiten Venegaonkar sought 8 days custody, Raut's lawyer Ashok Mundargi opposed it on various grounds, including the health problems of his client who was a cardiac patient.
ED arrests Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut in Patra Chawl scam case

The ED had sent several summons to the Sena leader which he skipped, following which he has been arrested. Earlier, a month back he had even dared the ED to arrest him. Raut will be presented before the Mumbai court on Monday morning. The ED had earlier sent Pune businessman Avinash Bhosale into custody in DHFL-Yes Bank case, and the sources claimed that they wanted to grill Raut in this matter too.

Sanjay Raut will be taken to the ED office later on Sunday evening for further action, including the strong probability of arrest, on alleged grounds of 'non-cooperation' with the probe.The MP's brother MLA Sunil Raut told a private news channel that the ED could not locate certain documents pertaining to the Patra Chawl case, leading to Sanjay Raut's detention and he would be taken to the ED offices.
