Pakistan accepts LeT terrorist's body for 1st time in over 3 decades
On Monday, the body of Tabarak Hussain, 32, of Sabzkot village of Kotli in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), was handed over by the Indian Army to their Pakistani counterparts at the Chakan Da Bagh crossing point on the Lne of Control (LoC) in Poonch district. The hand over was carried out in the presence of civil and police officers. Hussain had died of heart failure in the Rajouri Army Hospital two days ago.

A joint strategy is being followed by security agencies leading to success in maintaining peace. The efforts of security agencies have borne fruit with districts like Kupwara in north Kashmir bordering the LoC now becoming militancy-free. J&K Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbag Singh on Friday said that in recent times some infiltration attempts were made, however, majority of them were foiled strongly. He added that a couple of times some infiltrators managed to sneak to this part for which strategies have been made to track them down.

As per sources in intelligence agencies, Pakistan's ISI is directly managing the launchpads of terrorists and they have also helped terror groups to set up camps along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. Not only this, terrorists are also being given training for infiltration and attacks. Indian intelligence agencies have come to know that terrorist organizations have set up their camps a few kms from the LoC.

Taking serious note, the Mumbai Police immediately got cracking, formed three teams of Crime Branch to investigate while other state and central agencies are also being involved in the operations, said city Commissioner of Police Vivek Phansalkar. Militants kill Kashmiri Pandit, injure brother in J&K's Shopian
Police sources said the militants fired at Sunil Kumar, son of Arjun Nath, and his brother Pitambar alias Pinto in the Chotigam village of Shopian district. "Sunil Kumar died on the spot while his brother Pitambar alias Pinto was shifted to hospital. "The area has been cordoned off and reinforcements have been rushed to the village to nab the assassins," sources said. Reports said that both the brothers were non-migrants and were living in their ancestral village when the killers struck.
2 terrorists dead, 5 soldiers injured in Jammu and Kashmir gunfight
"Two terrorists trying to sneak into a post in the dark at Pargal Rajouri were detected and engaged by alert troops. The terrorists have been neutralised. Five soldiers also suffered injuries and are being treated," the Army said in a tweet. Sources said the gunfight broke out after the two heavily armed terrorists tried to barge into the army camp. In the exchange of fire, the ywo terrorists were killed.
Terrorist killed, 2 army jawans, cop injured in Baramulla encounter
Acting on specific information generated by police regarding presence of a terrorist in village Wanigam Bala in Kreeri area of Baramulla, a joint cordon and search operation was launched by police, army and the SSB. As the joint search party approached towards the spot where the terrorist was hiding, he began firing indiscriminately which was retaliated. "In the initial exchange of fire, two soldiers and a police personnel received injuries and were shifted to hospital for treatment where their condition is stable," police said.
Substantial decline in terrorist attacks from 2018 to 2021: Centre
Replying no to DMK leader A. Ganeshamurthi's question whether the incidents of terror attacks are rising in the country, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai told the Lok Sabha, in a written reply, that "situation has improved significantly in Jammu and Kashmir and that there has been a substantial decline in terrorist attacks from 417 in 2018 to 229 in 2021". The minister also said that 244 terrorist incidents happened in Jammu and Kashmir in 2020 while the number decreased to 229 in 2021.
Ending terrorism is only way for Pakistan to help Kashmiris: India
"The only contribution that Pakistan can make is to stop state-sponsored terrorism," Nitish Birdi, the Minister in India's UN Mission, said on Tuesday replying to the Pakistani envoy's comment about Kashmiris needing UN humanitarian aid. He added that Pakistan's representative continuously misuses UN platforms to spew "malicious and false propaganda" against India "like a broken record".
