Former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy seized on this video, alleging a "cash-for-posting" scandal within the state, openly criticizing the ruling Congress government. He condemned the apparent extortion practices, accusing the CM's office of orchestrating a transfer mafia and exploiting positions of authority.

The Friday night's meeting was organised following the statement of Shivakumar loyalist Congress MLA Ganiga Ravi that their leader will become the chief minister after 2.5 years. Shaken by the statement, Siddaramaiah held a meeting with Home Minister Parameshwara, PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi and Minister for Social Welfare Dr H.C. Mahadevappa, the sources stated.

Addressing reporters after the meeting, CM Siddaramaiah said the order of the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) will be challenged before the Supreme Court and request for a stay on the order of releasing water to Tamil Nadu will be made.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was speaking to reporters in Kalaburagi on Sunday. The ruling Congress is in a fix over the issue as releasing water to Tamil Nadu for drinking purposes, standing crops and industrial usage, will lead to water shortage in the state for the crops.

Siddaramaiah underlined, "It is  not possible to implement the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee (CWRC) order by pushing the farmers, livestock and people who depend on Cauvery water for drinking purposes into crisis."

Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Siddaramaiah held meetings with MLAs, ministers and in-charges from the districts of Tumakuru, Yadgir and Chitradurga.

Chief Minister's Office sources said that earlier CMs feared entering through the door as 'Vastu' experts maintained that movement through this door would affect their political careers. Siddaramaiah, while entering his office, noticed that the south door is closed and inquired from the staff about the reason for this.

Speaking to reporters at the Karnataka Bhavan in New Delhi, Siddaramaiah said that he had requested Amit Shah "not to play politics or carry out politics of hatred with regards to the supply of rice to the poor in Karnataka". "The matter of FCI giving a commitment letter to supply rice and the act of cancelling it the very next day has been brought to his notice.

Speaking to reporters, Pratap Simha claimed that Siddaramaiah is making his stooges give statements that he will be a full term CM. "Siddaramaiah lacks courage to say this by himself," he taunted. Siddaramaiah is getting Minister for Social Welfare H.C. Mahadevappa and Minister for Large and Medium Industries M.B. Patil to speak on his behalf.

Talking to reporters in Bengaluru about the charges made by Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha that adjustment politics is practiced in the state by CM Siddaramaiah and top BJP leaders, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that, "Pratap Simha has no political maturity."
