While expressing the state's backing for the construction of the Shri Ram Mandir, Siddaramaiah clarified that he has not yet received an invitation to attend the temple's inauguration. He mentioned that he would consider attending the ceremony once he receives an invitation.

The BJP claimed that Siddaramaiah's move sows seeds of division in the fabric of religious harmony, suggesting that the uniform guidelines were established to ensure equality among students in educational institutions, a stance also backed by the Supreme Court of India.

Addressing reporters on Thursday, Bommai highlighted the existence of filed cases against the said cleric for delivering provocative speeches in Vijayapura.

In response to criticism, Siddaramaiah questioned the objections raised, stating, "What's wrong in that statement?" He clarified that his commitment to protection extends to all communities, including Muslims, dismissing claims of favoritism.
