Neom: Saudi Arabia's new megacity will be 17 times bigger than London

The private city will be built along the Gulf of Aqaba, along the Red Sea coast and has been envisioned as a business as well as industrial zone. The city is said to be 17 times the size of London and 33 times the size of New York and will involve an investment of USD 500 billion. As per a report by Egypt Today, “Egypt would allocate more than 1,000 square kilometres of land to the project in the South Sinai governorate.” It is wholly owned by the country’s sovereign fund, the Public Investment Fund and is proposed to be fully powered by renewable sources of energy.
Yemeni forces launch large-scale military operation against Houthis

The pro-government forces including the southern Giants Brigades targeted the Houthi-held sites in Usaylan district of Shabwa, the official told Xinhua news agency. Intense armed confrontations erupted between the two warring sides following the large-scale military operation, he said.

"Warplanes of the Saudi Arabia-led coalition bombed a convoy of the Houthi rebel militia when the convoy was travelling in the western parts of Taiz," the source told Xinhua news agency. The airstrike destroyed two vehicles belonging to the rebel group and killed seven of its members in Taiz's district of Maqbanah, the source said.
Islamic bloc not willing to channel Afghan assistance through Taliban

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi admitted that one of the reasons the fund was set up was because some of the member countries were not willing to channel assistance through the Taliban government, the report said. The announcement of the fund was part of the measures the 57-member Islamic bloc agreed upon after the 17th Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of OIC hosted by Pakistan.

Houthis claim launching 14 bomb-laden drones against Saudi airports, Aramco refineries

"We targeted the King Khalid Air Base in Riyadh city with four drones, hitting military targets at the King Abdullah International Airport and Aramco oil refineries in Jeddah city with four drones, striking a military target in Abha International Airport in Abha city with a drone, targeting other military sites in the cities of Jazan, Najran and Abha with five drones," Houthi military spokesman Yehya Sarea said in a statement.
Saudi Arabia agrees to revive financial support to Pakistan

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had visited the kingdom this week for agreement in this regard, as per reports and sources of Dawn. Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry later confirmed Saudi's assistance to Pakistan in a midnight tweet. The tweet said that Saudi Arabia has announced support to Pakistan with 3 billion US dollars as a deposit in Pakistan central bank, in addition to financing refined petroleum products worth 1.2 billion US dollars during the year. 
Saudi-led airstrikes in Yemen's Marib kill 35 Houthis

"The airstrikes targeted four convoys of the rebel reinforcements in and around the western Sirwah district, destroying 13 pick-up vehicles and killing 35 Houthis rebels," the source told Xinhua news agency on Monday. Meanwhile, the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported 23 Saudi-led coalition airstrikes on Sirwah without providing further details. Sirwah is a main frontline between the rebels and the Yemeni army in Marib.
