CIA ran previously undisclosed office in Seoul until 2020: Sources

The existence of the office, which was used to collect open-source intelligence on South Korea as part of the CIA's Open Source Enterprise, became known after three former employees sued the US government for firing them, Yonhap news Agency quoted the sources as saying. The plaintiffs, all South Koreans, were hired between 2005 and 2009 and laid off around February and March of last year.
Moon asks Pope Francis to visit N.Korea

Moon made the offer during a meeting with the Pope at the Vatican on Friday, saying a papal visit to North Korea will serve as momentum for bringing peace on the Korean Peninsula, reports Yonhap News Agency. S.Korea fails to launch 1st homegrown rocket

The KSLV-II rocket, also known as Nuri, flew to a target altitude of 700 km but failed to place the 1.5-tonne dummy satellite into orbit, President Moon Jae-in said in a press briefing at the Naro Space Centre in the southern coastal village of Goheung. South Korea prepares to launch 1st homegrown space launch vehicle

The KSLV-II, also known as Nuri, is set to blast off from the Naro Space Center in the country's southern coastal village of Goheung at around 4 p.m., Yonhap News Agency quoted the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) as saying. If successful, the Nuri rocket will be South Korea's first space vehicle wholly designed and built in the country.
US representative for N.Korea to visit Seoul this week

Kim's trip to Seoul will follow his meeting with his South Korean and Japanese counterparts, Noh Kyu-duk and Takehiro Funakoshi, respectively, in Washington this week, reports Yonhap News Agency. "Special Representative Noh and I had an excellent meeting this afternoon in advance of tomorrow's (Tuesday) trilateral meeting with Japanese Director-General Funakoshi," the US diplomat told reporters after his meeting with Noh at the State Department on Monday.
