As per 'Variety', the series dropped on OTT on June 24, meaning that it only had three days to claim its spot in the chart that covers the period June 20-26. During that time, it was played for 33.7 million hours. The series was also the number one show in South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand.
BTS 'hiatus' spurs 28% drop in HYBE stock, company says word was mistranslated

On Tuesday, June 14, the seven group members announced that they are going on a hiatus -- via a translator -- to pursue solo work, which almost instantaneously knocked HYBE shares in South Korean trade down by nearly 28 per cent, reports 'Variety'. HYBE shares had fallen by just about 25,000 won on Wednesday morning and continued to drop throughout the day, wiping out $1.7 billion of market capitalisation.
BTS are going their separate ways on a 'temporary hiatus'

Hybe said its original story of '7Fates: Chakho' will be available on Naver Webtoon, an online platform for web-based comics run by South Korea's top portal operator, on Saturday, Yonhap News Agency reported. '7Fates' is based on tales of a tiger-hunting corps called 'chakhogapsa' during the Korean Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897).
Korean series 'The Silent Sea' tops non-English shows on Netflix

K-pop superband BTS opens LA stop of Jingle Ball Tour

Two years after 'Parasite', its Korean star will now be seen in crime action film

The new movie, a Korean adaptation of the namesake Japanese novel, follows two different policemen, Kang-yoon (Cho Jin-woong) and Min-jae (Choi), who cooperate on a huge crime case that would shake the police organisation, Yonhap News Agency reports. The actor said his character, Min-jae, is a wary and determined rookie police officer who works undercover as part of a secret anti-corruption campaign.
