S.Korean ruling party leadership to resign en masse after election loss
DP Chairman Song Young-gil announced the decision following a meeting of the party's supreme council after Lee Jae-myung, the party's presidential candidate, was defeated by Yoon Suk-yeol of the main opposition People Power Party (PPP) in Wednesday's election, reports Yonhap News agency. With all the votes counted, the PPP's Yoon received 48.56 per cent of the vote and the DP's Lee got 47.83 per cent in Wednesday's election, according to the National Election Commission.

Russia has designated South Korea as an "unfriendly" nation after Seoul joined international sanctions against Moscow following its invasion of Ukraine, the media reported on Monday.The Russian government released a decree that South Korea is included on its list of "unfriendly states" that "have carried out unfriendly actions" against Russia, its nationals or entities, Moscow's state news agency TASS reported.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said that it will publish a report in April detailing the findings of its mission to review the Japanese government's plan to release the contaminated radioactive water into the sea from the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant. A task force of the IAEA conducted a five-day safety review in Japan, which the agency pledged, would be carried out on an objective and scientific basis, reports Xinhua news agency.
S.Korea to reinforce Air Force's anti-missile unit amid growing N.Korean threats
The ministry issued a public notice on its push for legislation to restructure the existing Air Defense Missile Command as part of efforts to enhance the military's anti-missile capabilities, Yonhap news agency reported. Under the envisioned reorganization set for April, the command will be supplied with additional ballistic-missile early-warning radars and mid-range surface-to-air missiles (M-SAM).
