Ashok Gehlot breaks quarantine, releases Rajasthan Governor's book which says 'join BJP'

The first thing that raised eyebrows is, chief minister Ashok Gehlot came out from the middle of his quarantine just for the purpose to release this book which clearly carried a humble appeal to 'Join BJP'. Secondly, the copies of the book were sold to 27 university vice-chancellors without their consent.
Expect severe heat wave in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan for a week

On Thursday, the maximum temperature will hover around 42 degrees Celsius in Delhi, the IMD said. A day after the 'severe heat wave' gripped the city with mercury rising to 43.5 degrees Celsius, seven notches above the normal and the highest this year, the IMD said the minimum temperature registered on Thursday morning at 31.7 degrees was also four notches above normal.

Haryana's Hisar recorded 45 degrees, UP's Jhansi 43 and Una (Himachal Pradesh), Patiala, Halwara (both Punjab) and Alwar (Rajasthan) recorded maximum temperatures above 43 degrees. Even Ladakh saw 40.5, while Jammu also sweltered at 42.7 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature above average was recorded in J&K's Qazigund, which was 7.1 degrees above the average.

Rajasthan by-polls: Strict COVID guidelines to be followed during counting

Counting for by-polls for three seats in Rajasthan, namely, Rajsamand, Sahada and Sujangarh will be held on Sunday amid strict Covid guidelines, said chief electoral officer Pravin Gupta. No one will be allowed to visit the counting centre without presenting the RT-PCR negative report or double vaccination certificate.
