The conference was co-hosted by the Ministry of External Affairs and India Narrative -- a web-based think-tank. The theme of the conference was 'India's Role in the Changing World Order'. Under this theme, brainstorming sessions were held on security, economic and diplomatic roadmap for India to navigate geopolitical shifts and reclaim its leadership role in the new world order.

The 246-km Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot stretch will be open for public from Sunday, which will reduce the travel time from Delhi to Jaipur from five hours to about two hours. The aircraft met with an accident near Barmer at 9.10 p.m. and both pilots sustained fatal injuries, the Indian Air Force (IAF) said in a tweet. Raising questions about NIA's claims, the state agency late on friday night, called it a premature statement as the investigation is still at a preliminary stage. Notably, the state government suspended Udaipur Additional SP Ashok Kumar Meena on Friday evening. Earlier, SHO and SI were also suspended.

Following the transfer, the NIA will get custody of the killers, Ghaus Mohammad and Riyaz Jabbar, and then start their interrogation. Meanwhile, the accused have been shifted from Udaipur to Ajmer's High Security Jail. Meanwhile, an NIA team reached Kanpur on Thursday night to investigate the murder and raided many places.

Both the accused were produced before the special court amid tight security. The court after hearing the contention sent them to judicial custody. The sources in the agency said that they received crucial input that both can be attacked by different organisations and hence they decided to produce them before Udaipur court.

The investigative agencies have learnt that Ghaus Mohammed, who killed Kanhaiya Lal, went to Pakistan for terrorist training and had been living in India as a sleeper cell. He was in touch with Pakistan based handler via different numbers. "The role of Pakistan based agencies have emerged. We will check the call details record of all his numbers. His all social media profiles will be scanned.
