OnePlus Nord 2 5G offers premium look, powerful chip

The company said that their top priority is to deliver a great user experience with products, based in part on acting quickly on important user feedback. "Following the launch of the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro in March, some users told us about some areas where we could improve the devices' battery life and heat management," the company told XDA Developers on Wednesday.

To highlight the new AI capabilities of the chipset, OnePlus and MediaTek have chosen the name Dimensity 1200-AI to distinguish it from the standard Dimensity 1200. "At OnePlus, we are committed to sharing the best technology with the world, and the OnePlus Nord line reaffirms this mission in a more accessible price category," Pete Lau, Founder of OnePlus, said in a statement.
OnePlus will be sub-brand of OPPO: Report

Both the companies have not revealed how closely they would integrate. But, a tweet from a known tipster shared the leaked internal memo that was for the OnePlus PR team, GizmoChina reported. The memo explains the integration of the two companies, stating that "with the integration, OnePlus becomes a brand within OPPO, however, will continue to function as an independent entity".

For Q1 2021, OPPO grew 12 per cent (on-year) and had an 11 per cent market share in India. OnePlus grew more than 300 per cent (YoY) in the same period, driven by the OnePlus Nord and OnePlus 8T shipments, in the country, according to Counterpoint Research. OPPO's affordable A15 series featured in the highest shipped models nationally, along with newly launched 5G models accounting for 8 per cent of OPPO's shipments, says the IDC.
OnePlus launches Nord CE 5G, smart TV range

The smartphone is available is three storage variants 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB at Rs 22,999, Rs 24,999 and Rs 27,999, respectively. OnePlus Nord CE 5G will be available on Amazon.in and OnePlus.in from June 16. The OnePlus TV U1S is designed to provide users with a premium smart TV experience at an attractive price point. It will be available in 126 cm, 139 cm and 164 cm variants.
OnePlus Nord CE 5G to be launched with Snapdragon 750G chipset

The smartphone is scheduled to launch in India on June 10. According to GSMArena, it looks like the Nord CE -- Core Edition -- is based heavily on the original Nord, with a few cuts here and there to presumably give it a lower launch price. The report said that pre-orders will start in India on June 11. The Nord CE 5G is said to feature a 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED touchscreen with an in-display fingerprint sensor, the Snapdragon 750G chipset at the helm.
