Nepal, India discuss security and military issues

No projects under China’s BRI have moved ahead in Nepal, says foreign minister

Recently, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Cheng Song said that Pokhara International Airport was built under the BRI project, while Minister Saud clarified that BRI has not been implemented yet. Nepal, after taking the loan of Rs 25 billion constructed an international airport in Pokhara whose loan agreement was signed in 2012 before the BRI was announced by China in 2013. 
Nepal, India agree completion of Pancheshwar Multipurpose Project report in 3 months

But due to differences between the two sides, a joint panel of experts failed to reach an agreement to complete the DPR. An understanding was reached during a meeting of the governing council of the Pancheshwar Development Authority held in Pokhara on Thursday and in Kathmandu on Friday.

Prachanda was on an official visit to India from May 31 to June 3. He had met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, among others, but there was no news about his meeting with Goel.

Addressing a function to launch a book written by Kiran Deep Sandhu on Sardar Pritam Singh on Monday, Prachanda, as the Prime Minister is popularly known, said that Pritampal once went to India to lobby for him to make him the premier. After leaving India many years ago, Pritam’s family is now settled in Kathmandu and has good connections with political leaders of Nepal, including Prachanda.
