Over 200 civilians killed in Kiev region yet to be identified

Russia seizes part of key city in eastern Ukraine

Meanwhile, Sergey Gaidai, head of the Luhansk regional military administration, said on Facebook that Russia seized some 80 per cent of Severodonetsk, reports Xinhua news agency. Street fighting in the city continued and Ukrainian forces carried out counter-attacks in some parts of Severodonetsk, Gaidai said. Ukrainian troops captured six Russian soldiers during the battle for the key city, he added.
Russian strategic missile forces hold drills

Nearly 1,000 military personnel and more than 100 pieces of equipment were involved in the exercises, the Ministry added on Wednesday in a statement. The troops practiced bringing missile systems to field positions, marching up to 100 km and dispersing units, Xinhua news agency reports.

The statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrinform news agency reported on Wednesday.
