The Soviet emblem on the monument -- the tallest staue in Ukraine -- will be replaced by the trident by August 24, when the country celebrates Independence Day, Xinhua news agency quoted the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy as saying in a statement. Experts on Monday carrued out some preparatory work and constructed the metal sculpture of the trident, the Ministry said.
Russia accuses Ukraine of drone attack in Moscow region

In a statement on Telegram, the Ministry said that an attempt by Ukraine "to carry out a terrorist attack by unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on facilities in the Moscow region has been foiled, reports CNN. "The UAV was destroyed by means of air defence," the Ministry said, adding that there were no casualties or damage.
