Former Kerala BJP chief Kummanam Rajasekhran will contest from Nemom constituency, former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha member K.J. Alphons from Kanjirappally, another Rajya Sabha member Suresh Gopi from Thrissur and former DGP Jacob Thomas from Irinjalakuda.

In her statement recorded under Section 108 of the Customs Act, and the 164 statement (given before the Magistrate) which was filed by the Customs on Thursday before the Kerala high court, Swapna Suresh said that Vijayan has close connections with the previous Consul General of the UAE and illegal monetary transactions were carried out.
