India logs 9% growth in job postings in September YoY: Report

The CEO of Monster.com Sekhar Garisa said that as we approached the end of the September quarter, it was promising to note that we had witnessed a significant growth of 6% in the hiring over the last 3 months. The report further says that there was a stable monthly growth in job postings in the month of September compared to that of August.

The country's premier index on hiring trends grew by 11 per cent in July versus June, to touch 2,625, the highest it has ever been, including the pre-Covid timeline. The rapid digital transformation across all sectors drove up the demand for jobs in the IT sector by 18 per cent, the report showed. July also recorded a higher demand for jobs across all functional areas, with more job options for freshers.

Hiring outlook expected to be more or less stable in Q3 2021

Sectors which are likely to lead the job market include transportation and utilities, followed by the services sector. The strongest hiring pace is recorded in the medium sized organisations, followed by the large organisations with a seasonally adjusted outlook of +8 per cent and +6 per cent, respectively. From a region specific perspective, North and South indicate similar outlook at +6 per cent.

The report estimates that by enabling scale-up, USENET can aid in the creation of an additional 1 crore (10.3 million) jobs over five years going up to nearly 6 crores (56.9 million) over 10 years. Based on value-added per worker observed in this sector and assuming a 12 per cent nominal rate of growth in GVA, these jobs represent an additional economic value of Rs 2,16,000 crores at the end of 5 years and over 19 lakh crores at the end of 10 years.
Delhivery expands India footprint, to create new jobs

While 26 per cent recruiters foresee hiring bouncing back to pre-Covid levels within the next three-six months, 34 per cent said that it would take their organisations six months to one year, said the "Hiring Outlook Survey" by the job portal. The survey, which involved 1,327 recruiters and consultants across the country, showed that jobseekers should remain optimistic for the coming year.
