"All the hostages must be brought home now. We ask the Prime Minister and Defence Minister to act now to end this terrible disaster."  In a statement to the media on Monday evening, the family representatives of the hostages responded to the Hamas video release. 

Israel's military killed dozens of Hamas fighters Monday overnight striking targets in northern Gaza as its expanded ground operations in the enclave moved rapidly. Israeli media showed the country's troops atop a hotel about two miles into the Gaza Strip, media reports said.

He said that several trucks were waiting to be allowed into Gaza Strip and struck on Egyptian side. He called upon Israel to allow more trucks with humanitarian aid into Gaza and added that the ICC was seriously probing into the October 7 massacre in which 1,400 Israeli citizens were killed, more than 3,000 injured and 239 captured as hostages.

The missing persons and hostages forum conveyed this to the Israeli President during a meeting with him at his residence in Jerusalem on Sunday. The Israel government-appointed envoy on hostages and missing persons, Gal Hirsch, was also present in the meeting.

The statement was made following a group of Muslims waving Palestinian flags barged into Makhachkala airport in Dagestan region of Russia. The protestors had reached the airport amid reports that a Russian airline 'Red Wings' had arrived at the airport from Tel Aviv carrying Jewish refugees.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Sunday confirmed the Israeli missile strikes on the countryside of Daraa, where the rocket attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights reportedly originated from. Specific details of the damage caused by the Israeli attack have not been disclosed amid the absence of official confirmation, Xinhua news agency reported.

Americans have been historically more sympathetic to Israel than to Palestine but the gap has been narrowing. In a 2013 Gallup poll, Americans sympathized with Israel over Palestine 64 per cent to 12 per cent and a poll by the same agency conducted earlier this year showed that the gap had narrowed to 54 per cent to 31 per cent.

The rockets were neutralised by the iron dome missile interceptors of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Meanwhile, IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari told mediapersons that it has entered Gaza. Israel's Defence Minister, Yuav Gallant, said that the earth shook in Gaza 'last night', hinting at the ground assault of the IDF.

It may be noted that the Hamas terrorists have been demanding the release of all the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention centres for exchanging the people they took as hostages on October 7. The families told the Prime Minister that this deal has broad support from all of Israel, as they demanded "Bring Everyone Home Now”.

So far, Israel has seen 1,400 people killed while 224 have been abducted by Hamas. The Israel is also preparing for a ground offensive in Gaza while there are apprehensions of escalation of the war on the northern border, Times of Israel reported.
