UP Board examinations begin today for 52L students

Around 52 lakh students are taking the Class 10 and Class 12 UP Board examination from Thursday. Of these, 27.8 lakh students will appear for Class 10 and 24.1 lakh for Class 12. The exams will be held at 8,373 centres across the state. The UP Secondary Education Board (UPSEB) has identified 254 centres as 'highly-sensitive' and 861 centres as 'sensitive' in view of vulnerability for cheating.
No provision for re-examination if candidate fails to appear, UPSC to SC

It said it conducts the civil services examination strictly in accordance with the rules of examination framed annually by the government. It clarified that any decision regarding age relaxation and compensatory/extra attempt is a policy matter falling under the domain of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

UPSC topper Shubham Kumar has said that he was not sure about cracking the examination this year, which was his third attempt. His first attempt was in 2018. "After the second attempt in 2019, I got the 290th rank, and then I got into the Indian Defence Account Service," he said.
Tina Dabi's sister cracks UPSC exam, bags 15th rank

Shubham Kumar has bagged the first rank in the exams. Tina, who was the topper of the 2015 batch, is currently posted as Joint Secretary Finance (Tax) to the Rajasthan government. Interacting with IANS, Ria said: "It feels really nice... I am happy. I was not expecting this... You need to start preparing right from the school and the college."

UPSC topper Shubham Kumar said His first attempt was in 2018. "After the second attempt in 2019, I got the 290th rank, and then I got into the Indian Defence Account Service". The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday declared the results of exams held in 2020. Kumar, a resident of Katihar district of Bihar, who has topped the Civil Services Examination 2020, said he is happy with his performance.
UPSC (Prelims) rescheduled in October

The examination will be held on October 10, which was earlier scheduled to be held on June 27. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) deferred the examination due to the prevailing conditions caused by the second wave of novel coronavirus or Covid-19 which so far has infected 2,37,03,665 people that include 37,10,525 active cases and 2,58,317 deaths.
