Gold medal winners in this edition for India included Sainyam in the women's 10m air pistol, Dhanush Srikanth in the men's 10m air rifle, Amanpreet Singh in the men's 25m pistol, Abhinav Shaw and Gautami Bhanot in the 10m air rifle mixed team and so on.

Sameer also won the individual silver in the event while Mahesh Anandakumar bagged the bronze as France's Yan Chesnel clinched the gold. Three Indians out of six qualified in the men's rapid fire pistol as Rajkanwar was third in qualifying with a score of 577, Sameer fourth with 577 while Mahesh took the sixth qualifying spot with a score of 575.

"Suryakumar Yadav has sustained a muscle strain on the left forearm and has been ruled out for the season. He has been advised rest, in consultation with the BCCI medical team," said a statement by the franchise ahead of their match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the DY Patil Stadium.
